The autobiography of the American educator, Booker T. Washington. Washington chronicles more than forty years of his life covering his initial status as a slave to that of an educated schoolmaster. After obtaining his own education, Washington went on to establish vocational schools and was an advocate of black Americans pursuing academic subjects along with vocational training.
First published in 1901, this edition is derived from the original book with 8 black & white photographs and an introduction by Walter H. Page. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
