The North Wind

The story of a boy named Diamond who befriends the mysterious Lady North Wind.  She invites him to fly through the night with her on several adventures.  Though Lady North Wind does many good deeds, she also does some seemingly terrible things.

Originally serialized in a children’s magazine in 1868 and published in book form in 1871. This edition’s illustrations are derived from the book published in 1911 with 11 color illustrations by Frank C. Pape and 75 black and white illustrations by Arthur Hughes. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
