A Dickens Classic
Set in England during the middle of the 19th century, the story follows Philip Pirrip, “Pip” for short, a young orphan. Surrounding Pip are a colorful cast of characters who create some of Dicken’s most memorable scenes. Themes explored in the book include wealth & poverty, love & rejection, and the eventual triumph of good over evil.
First published in 1860 in England un-illustrated, this edition is derived from the American edition published the same year with 34 black and white illustrations by John McLenan. As always, this edition is complete and un-abridged. -
