A historical fiction novel set in the 18th century around Scottish events. The story is narrated by David Balfour, the main character, who sets out to make his way in the world and encounters many adventures along the way.

First published in 1886 as a series in Young Folks magazine,  this edition is derived from the book published in 1921 with illustrations by Louis Rhead.  The book includes 4 color illustrations and over 90 black & white illustrations and page decorations. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
