The Life of an English Gentleman
Rudolf V of Ruritania is about to be crowned king when he is drugged on the eve of his coronation and is unable to attend the ceremony. Fortuitously, his distant relative, Englishman Rudolf Rassendyll, is visiting his kingdom and bears a striking resemblance to the king. Believing fate has sent Rassendyll, the king’s attendants persuade him to take Rudolf V’s place at the coronation.
First published in 1894, this edition is derived from the original book with 8 black & white illustrations by Charles Dana Gibson and 1 map by Howard Ince. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
