Set in 1547 in England, the novel tells a story of two young boys who were born on the same day and are identical in appearance: Tom Canty, a pauper, and Edward VI, a prince, and son of Henry VII of England. During a chance meeting, the boys decide to switch places which results in many adventures and both boys learning valuable lessons.

First published in 1881, this edition is derived from the  original book with 190 black and white illustrations. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
