A collection of English fairy tales compiled by Joseph Jacobs. Featuring such well-known tales as ‘Jack and the Bean Stock,’ ‘The Story of the Three Bears,’ and ‘The Story of the Three Little Pigs.’ The book also includes many lesser known folk tales and end notes regarding the origin of the tales themselves. A great introduction to English fairy tales for young children.

First published in 1890, this edition is derived from the original book with over 60 black and white illustrations by John D. Batten. As always, the book is complete and unabridged.
