The book is the eighth volume in a series of twelve “coloured” Fairy Books compiled by the Langs. Well known fairy tales such as Lucky Luck, Little Wild Rose, and The Stone-cutter, as well as many lesser known tales, are contained within the pages.

First published in 1903, this edition is derived from the  original book with 46 black and white illustrations and 4 color illustrations by H. J.  Ford. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
