The book is the eleventh volume in a series of twelve “coloured” Fairy Books compiled by the Langs. Well known fairy tales such as The Green Knight, The Billy Goat and the King, and The Snake Prince, as well as many lesser known tales, are contained within the pages.
First published in 1907, this edition is derived from the original book with 44 black and white and 8 color illustrations by H. J. Ford. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
