The story of a family who moves to a home near a railway after their father is imprisoned after being falsely accused of spying. The children befriend an Old Gentleman who regularly takes the train near their home and who may be able to help prove their father’s innocence.
Originally published in The London Magazine in serialized form in 1905 and book form in 1906. This edition is derived from the original book with twenty original black and white illustrations by C.E. Brock. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
