The 3rd book in the Among the People series by Clara Dillingham Pierson. An introduction for children to the animals of the farmyard. Each chapter is a story about a different animal including swallows, a chicken, lambs, a peacock, a goose, and many more. The stories provide both information about the animals and an inspirational moral lesson for the reader.

First published in 1899, this edition is derived from the original book with 12 black and white illustrations and numerous page decorations by F. C. Gordon.  As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
